How is the Lifestyle Score calculated?
The Lifestyle Score is a weighted index (0-100) based on housing affordability (30%), cost pressure (25%), disposable income (25%), and basic lifestyle comfort (20%). A score of 80-100 indicates very comfortable living, 60-79 is comfortable, 40-59 is tight but doable, and below 40 indicates financial risk.
What costs are included in the calculation?
Our calculations include monthly costs for housing (rent), food, transport, healthcare, utilities, and miscellaneous expenses. All costs are estimated based on average market rates for a single person.
How accurate are the cost estimates?
Cost estimates are based on average market data and should be used as a starting point. Actual costs can vary significantly based on location, lifestyle choices, and personal circumstances. We recommend researching specific cities and neighborhoods for more precise estimates.
What if I have a family or dependents?
Currently, our calculations are based on a single-person household. For families, you should multiply food and miscellaneous costs accordingly, and consider larger housing requirements. We plan to add household size options in future updates.
